The problem is that treatment is dependent on the underlying cause of the paralysis; paralysis may be caused by trauma, spinal cord damage, infection, inflammation, muscle disease, cancer, skeletal disorders and stroke. The treatment is different dependent on the underlying cause. It seems that your Veterinarian is treating with antibiotics, vitamins, supplements and steroids; further investigation is required including reflex tests, x-ray (with myelography) and blood tests to help determine the underlying cause.
